While our concern for your health and well being is paramount, we recognize that everyone enrolled in our program is an adult, and therefore respect your free will and personal autonomy. Many women ask us “how is Fulshear going to be different than the other programs or therapy I’ve been to?” Our program was founded on the belief that the best way for a person to learn critical life skills is through experience. A major part of this includes attachment and trauma work done right on the ranch. From the first day you arrive at Fulshear, you will be given responsibilities that are designed to teach competence and self-sufficiency.
We use scientific techniques that do more than simply correct or replace behaviors, they create lasting change. By working on your negative beliefs about yourself, we will help you learn the essential skills you need to manage your life, despite all of the change that life brings. From the moment you are enrolled, our teams work to understand what it is that you want and need from a program so that we can best equip you with the tools necessary to lead a fulfilling life.
Our staff has expertise and experience helping with the following:
Oppositional or Defiant Behaviors
Drug and/or Alcohol Abuse or Addictions
Co-Morbidity or Dual Diagnosis
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Poor Body Image
However, we do not work with women who are currently pregnant or who struggle with issues that would prevent their success or create a hazard for themselves or others, such as:
Fulshear’s therapy is designed to serve as your last long-term treatment program.
