Allyson Smith

Program Director

Allyson was raised in the Bay Area of California in a family with four brothers. She enjoys nature, hiking, yoga, reading and traveling. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in the summer of 2007 in Marriage, Family, and Human Development, with a minor in Nutrition. Allyson started working as a residential staff member in Utah at Fulshear’s sister program, New Haven, in 2007 and became a lead supervisor there in 2009. She then moved to Texas to be Fulshear’s Residential Director, and is now the Program Director. She loves and looks forward to interacting and working with the clients and staff each day. Allysonexcels in helping clients create deep change in the way they see themselves, others and the world. She is an example of Fulshear’s relationship model and how we balance love with healthy limits.

As Program Director, Allyson enjoys training and empowering the residential team and collaborating with our treatment teams and families to help our clients heal. She oversees all residential and nursing employees, works with the leadership team to come up with much of the client programming and schedule, and helps create safe, beautiful living environments for the clients.

Allyson is a registered 200 hour yoga teacher and is certified in Trauma-Informed Yoga (TIYT) and Y12SR which combines yoga and the 12 steps. Allyson leads yoga groups and oversees classes taught at Fulshear to help promote healing through movement.”
