Amber Schlitter is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for working with clients to help them learn coping skills to deal with everyday stressors. Amber earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia and then completed the advanced standing program to obtain her Masters of Social Work from New York University in New York, New York. Since graduating from NYU, Amber has worked with a diverse population of men and women struggling with a variety of substance abuse and mental health issues. Amber has worked in both inpatient and outpatient programs that focus on substance abuse and mental health issues and has gained experience working with varied clinical issues including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, eating disorders, personality disorders and family issues. Amber is a firm believer that we are all doing the best that we can in the moment and is passionate about helping young women discover their capability and the strengths that they possess to aid them in moving forward with a healthy, fulfilling and successful life.
When she’s not working Amber enjoys spending time with her husband their pets, community theater, traveling and reading.
