Michelle received her Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from San Diego State University, with a minor in Religious Studies. Michelle received her Master’s Degree in Marital and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego, after successfully completing her practicum at UCSD’s Family Medicine in San Diego. Michelle is licensed in Texas as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
Michelle has an extensive work history that includes specializing in working with Severely Emotionally Disturbed (SED) minors and adolescents, treating those with Schizophrenia diagnosis, Domestic Violence victims and perpetrators, working with the homeless and socio-economically disadvantaged populations, treating and working with adults and minors with Developmental Delays, working with minors in both group homes and intensive residential facilities, working with couples and families, working with those with personality disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, depressive disorders, as well as working with adolescent sexual perpetrators. Prior to working at Fulshear, Michelle worked as a suicide/homicide crisis counselor.
When not working Michelle enjoys long distance running, and is an avid reader who most loves post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, horror, and historical fiction. Lastly, Michelle is a loving and dedicated mom to her 10year old Whippet/Pit Bull Mix Dallas and her 2-year-old cat Guna.
