“Monique received her Bachelor’s degree from Southern Utah University, where she majored in Special Education. Since graduating in 2007, Monique spent three years teaching in both private and public schools settings. Her career took a turn in 2010 when she entered the mental health field. Monique and her family worked as Family Teachers, living and working in a home with 11 adolescent girls 12-18 years old. She was responsible for treatment planning for each girl, teaching the girls behavioral, social, and coping skills. She also worked with the parents on developing parenting and communication skills to prepare them to successfully transition their daughters back into their home or on to college.
The role of Education Director allows Monique to combine her background in Special Education and Residential Treatment. She is passionate about the work done at Fulshear. She loves supporting client’s becoming confident in their skills and abilities and as they move towards a better sense of self and independence.
In Monique’s spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and DIY projects.”
