Ruth received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Geography at the University of Nairobi in Kenya. She then received her Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.
Ruth has worked extensively with both children and adult populations who suffer from severe mental illness as well as personality disorders. She has previously worked with adolescents in treatment, women in domestic violence situations, girls facing crisis pregnancies and individuals who are suicidal. She has also done work as a private and as an EAP therapist.
When not working, Ruth enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children as well as her cat, Kenya and dog, Giggles. She is an avid reader and enjoys traveling.
