Allie graduated from Texas A&M University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Literature. She taught 7th grade English for one year before realizing that the part of the day she really loved was talking to the kids before and after school about their lives.
She decided to get her Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor certification and began working in non-profit agencies with young people and their families recovering from drug and alcohol abuse.
She later realized she wanted to help people with more than just substance use and received a Master’s degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2016 for Marriage and Family Therapy.
As a young person who has had to work through her fair share of issues, she has taken these lessons, learned from them, and created avenues to helping other young women learn and grow from their struggles. She takes a strengths-based approach with both clients and staff, empowering them to utilize their natural talents and align with their values to create meaningful, rich, fulfilling lives.
She finds fulfillment today by riding horses, working out, going to comedy shows with her husband, and reading.
