Who We Work With
Our Clients
Fulshear clients are women+ between the ages of 18 and 27. Each of them is trying to establish an independent, self-sufficient life. Many of them are feeling stuck in their lives and unable to move forward. They tend to struggle within relationships and are wanting to learn how to set and honor boundaries. They welcome support on how to have healthy connections and how to use those relationships in order to get their needs met in a healthy way. Many of our clients have attempted going to college, yet have been unable to follow through in their education. Many have been unable to maintain employment. Some have not been able to graduate high school.
We work with young women+ who struggle with one or more of the following (this is not an all-inclusive list):
- Self-harm
- Isolation
- Sexual promiscuity
- Eating disordered behavior
- Fantasy world (internet)
- Lying
Some common diagnoses our clients have are (this is not an all-inclusive list):
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Personality Disorder
- Bipolar
We are unable to work with those who struggle with issues that would prevent their success at Fulshear or create a hazard for themselves or others, such as:
- Psychotic Disorders
- Intellectually Low-Functioning
- Pregnancy
- History of Violence
- Conduct Disorder
- Medically Unstable
